Empathy
Empathy
It is the feeling that transmits one
to feel “feeling into”. Further, consider ourselves in the place of others'
feelings and pain—no way of prejudice over others' sorrow and distress. In
short, it perceives me through others. A strong sense is, where we replace
ourselves in the place of others, especially in distress.
Reflects
from childhood.
Parents and guardians inculcate
empathetic values among kids from childhood onwards. When they grow up these
values also get stronger in them. Kids are motivated to provide charity for the
needy. Visiting old age homes and institutions gives us empathy for others. One
regains one’s human values through empathy. It enables people to realise others'
problems as well as feel the same. The values that we learn from childhood keep
us on a stronger level without selfishness.
Being beneficial to others.
When someone moves in a distressed
manner and leads an adverse life, our empathy moves toward him to help him
overcome his problems. Proper advice on time makes empathy highly successful. When
we help others, we are back-to-back to helping ourselves. When we involve
ourselves in helping others with their difficulties, we develop a state of mind
to strengthen ourselves to catch up in all adverse conditions. Without having
the virtue of helping others all other virtues shall remain as mere acts.
We
forget ourselves for a while.
When we move towards the feelings of
others, they may make us concentrate less on ourselves. This is the greatest
benefit for oneself. When we are disappointed, we may not be able to
concentrate on the positive aspects for a long, but empathy takes us to forget
the matter for a while enriched with satisfied memories from others. People
with empathy never blame others. We are
not here to find mistakes during adverse times. Something a holistic approach
where one raises others to remain as own one’s own feet.
Maintains
a well-built character in us.
If we lack empathy-we are losing
ourselves. People with empathy never blame others for their mistakes and find their
shortcomings at critical times. It is the respectful feelings that we raise in
ourselves. Empathy reminds us that all people are uniquely blessed, so
prejudices are invalid.
Prayer can enrich the power of
empathy. People who practice empathy are derived from enmity and hardness. Listening
to others is the prime step in tracing empathy.
A final point.
To raise empathy, we need to open the
way for others to discuss their problems. The openness creates a very optimistic
feeling out of a tragic one. People move toward others empathetically when
others are in the same place or places of common issues.
“Empathy is about finding echoes of
another person in yourself.”
