Self-respect
Self-respect
Respecting ourselves with extreme care. To raise self-respect, one needs to be very honest about one’s values.
There might be a quiet introspection after every deed. In fact, self-respect is
regarding others through accepting and realizing what they are.
The care that we stretch to our brethren
reflects the attention that we render to ourselves. Great leaders were
respected in society as they were highly enriched in the art of self-respect
among them. The more we respect ourselves the most we will be respected by
others. We change accordingly depending on the respect that we give ourselves.
A man with self-respect is widely
accepted. At first, it starts with the family. If the father has self-respect
on him, naturally the whole family members will be equally respected. When we
move into our community with mutual understanding and respect its members, we are respecting ourselves. So, self-respect is something that we
respect ourselves where all will be equally respected.
It is the foundation stone for all
decisions in life. One needs an act of strong courage to withhold self-respect.
Further, it reflects our ability to take mature decisions. We have to
strengthen ourselves to respect others and ourselves in decisions.
People who don’t have positive
self-respect lead their life adversely. Those people pay attention to others’
words leaving self-respect and mutual respect. One shouldn’t be subject to
others’ references but others have to admire us by perceiving our commitment to
self-respect.
The man with
self-respect is accepted by all.
Both the complexes, the superior and
interior hurt the self-respect. Everyone is not equally blessed with similar
blessings, so accepting the blessings showered on us is the best way to elevate
self-respect. People who have strongly influenced by negative complexes hurt their
self-respect as they never believe in themselves.
Further, our character reflects
through self-respect. When we stand up for ourselves, we started to respect
ourselves. It is a continuous process where one extends one’s life for a long.
Courage is the key factor for
accepting ourselves. One should be honest about one’s own positive and negative
strengths. So, with self-respect, we are able to raise our positive strength by
reducing the negative. Understand and accepts our mistakes. A self-respecting stand
as accepting the responsibilities in life.
“Knowing
yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
—Aristotle
