Give what you have…
YOU ARE WHAT YOU GIVE; NOT WHAT YOU ARE GIVEN.
Once a man was walking through a road to reach a shop. The road
was very busy and he kept the left side of the road for walking. He just turned
towards a side where he heard a man's sound particular sound. It
was a beggar and he wished to get something from the passenger. By seeing the
poor condition of the beggar, the man decided to give him a ten rupee
note.
The beggar doesn’t have a leg but kept smiling.
The man just moved ahead after giving him the ten rupee note. Before
taking more steps, the beggar called him back to share the food which he has.
The passenger surprised on the behavior of the beggar and continued his
journey by thanking him.
Frequently people bare the complaint that they don’t have anything
to spare: time, money, and love. Let us learn from the beggar that ‘to share
things what we have’. We needn’t wait to become a rich man to serve the poor,
share what you have at present. If you fail to share things today you never
share things.
Learn
to be contented with the things that we have.
Then
a question “Don’t we have any dreams or goals in life?”
Achieving a goal or cherishing a long dream never can be accounted
with contentment. Contentment comes from within; fulfilment is something outer
concern. We are inculcating these values from our childhood, but why do we fail
when we grow. For an instance, when we visit a pilgrimage center with our
family and wish to drop some deposits in the treasury, whom do you give the
money when the child is with you. Surely, we will give the money to the child
and kindly ask the child to drop the money in the treasury box.
The beggar has got two positive attitudes mainly; to convey his
greatness to the person who helped him with a small amount of money, secondly
to return something to the person as a feeling of gratitude.
“A self-contented life is the happiest life”.
